JOIN OUR CADET PROGRAM!
Are you between the ages of 14 & 17 and interested in becoming a firefighter or learning what the fire service is all about? Come join our team as a Cadet Firefighter!
The Town of Fond du Lac Fire/EMS Department is always accepting applications for Cadet Firefighters. Ages 14+, No Experience Necessary, we will put you through all required training!
As a Cadet Firefighter, you will be assigned a mentor. Your mentor is an experienced Firefighter member of the department, with whom you will work during training to gain an understanding of the fire service and real-world experience. You will be given a full set of Personal Protective Equipment and be able to attend all trainings and meetings. You will also have the opportunity to take classes and obtain certifications. At the end of your cadet program, when you turn 18 years old, you will be brought onto the department as a full-status Firefighter ready to hit the ground running in your fire service career.
The Town of Fond du Lac Fire/EMS Department Cadet program has been the start for many current department members along with several current Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedics in the surrounding areas and serves as a great starting point for a career in the Fire Service.
